Welcome to A Wee Kick Aboot – Football Training That Makes A Difference!

 

The Wee Kick Aboot is a community-driven football training programme fully funded by The Comedy Spot – a football-themed comedy club that tours on a club-by-club basis across Scotland. At each Comedy Spot show, we run raffles and auctions of club memorabilia, with all proceeds going directly to support The Wee Kick Aboot.

Our programme offers four free 1-to-1 football coaching sessions to children living in poverty in and around Glasgow. We believe that cost should never be a barrier to opportunity. That’s why every child who joins the programme receives a welcome package including donated football boots, shin guards, goalie gloves, and other essentials – all generously contributed by our audience and supporters through regular donation drives.

Training is led by our dedicated coach, who works with each child to build confidence, sharpen skills, and improve technique – in a supportive and inspiring environment. It’s not just about football; it’s about giving young people a boost when they need it most.

Our long-term goal is to turn The Wee Kick Aboot into an official charity, expanding our reach and impact across Scotland. With every laugh shared at The Comedy Spot, we’re helping kids take their shot on the pitch – and in life.

We’re currently in the process of registering with OSCR (the Scottish Charity Regulator) and are awaiting confirmation of our charitable status.
